After the third summer of tight housing supplies, there’s no sign that the Dallas area’s housing shortage will end any time soon. Inventories of homes listed for sale with real estate agents are at the lowest levels in decades.
The supply of new houses on the market is a fraction of what it was before the recession. Unless builders can start more houses or more owners decide to sell, the D-FW area’s housing market will remain constrained into 2016.
